VICTORIA FALLS
Victoria Falls is one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders, where the mighty Zambezi River plunges into a dramatic gorge on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya – “The Smoke That Thunders” – the Falls offer an unforgettable display of power, mist and breathtaking scenery.
Both winter and summer offer excellent safari experiences in South Africa. During the drier winter months (May to August), vegetation is less dense and wildlife is often easier to spot as animals gather around water sources. During the summer months, the landscape becomes lush and green, and many animals have their young. Game viewing is rewarding throughout the year, with Kruger and the surrounding private reserves offering exceptional wildlife experiences in every season.
Day 1 – Arrive Cape Town | Table Mountain
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Commodore Hotel, ideally situated at the V&A Waterfront.
After time to settle in, discover some of Cape Town’s spectacular scenery with a visit to Table Mountain, weather permitting. Travel by cableway to the summit for panoramic views across the city, coastline and surrounding mountains.
Continue to the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden before returning to your hotel.

Day 2 – Cape Peninsula Tour
After breakfast, depart on a full-day exploration of the spectacular Cape Peninsula. Travel along the Atlantic seaboard through some of Cape Town’s most beautiful coastal suburbs before continuing towards the Cape of Good Hope.
Enjoy the dramatic scenery of Chapman’s Peak Drive, visit historic Simon’s Town and see the famous African penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Your journey showcases some of the Cape Peninsula’s finest coastal landscapes before returning to Cape Town.

Day 3 – Robben Island
After breakfast, make your way to the V&A Waterfront for the ferry to Robben Island, one of South Africa’s most significant historical sites.
Visit the former maximum-security prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years, and learn about the island’s complex history and its role in South Africa’s journey to democracy. The visit provides a powerful insight into the experiences of those who were imprisoned on the island.
Return by ferry to the V&A Waterfront around lunchtime, with the remainder of the afternoon at leisure to explore Cape Town at your own pace.

Day 4 – Cape Winelands
After breakfast, depart for a full-day excursion into the beautiful Cape Winelands, beginning in historic Stellenbosch.
Explore this charming university town, renowned for its oak-lined streets, Cape Dutch architecture and picturesque setting among mountains and vineyards. Continue through the surrounding Winelands, enjoying the scenery and character of one of South Africa’s most celebrated wine-producing regions.

Day 5 – Cape Town to Sabi Sand
After breakfast, transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to the Kruger region. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Lion Sands River Lodge in the renowned Sabi Sand Nature Reserve.
Sabi Sand forms part of the Greater Kruger ecosystem, with an unfenced boundary allowing wildlife to move freely between the reserve and neighbouring Kruger National Park.
After settling into the lodge, set out on your first afternoon game drive with an experienced ranger and tracker, searching for the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo – as well as the region’s many other wildlife species.

Day 6 – Safari in Sabi Sand
