BEST TIME TO VISIT SABI SAND 
Sabi Sand is a year-round safari destination. During the dry winter months from May to September, vegetation is thinner and wildlife often gathers around water sources, making this an excellent time for game viewing. The warmer summer months bring lush green landscapes, dramatic afternoon storms, abundant birdlife and the arrival of many young animals.

BEST TIME FOR A MOZAMBIQUE HOLIDAY

May to November is generally an excellent time to visit Mozambique, with warm, sunny days, lower humidity and less rainfall. From December to April, conditions are hotter and more humid, with a greater chance of tropical showers, although these are often followed by periods of sunshine.

Day 1: Arrive at Skukuza Airport – Lion Sands

On arrival at Skukuza Airport, you will be met and transferred to Lion Sands River Lodge in the renowned Sabi Sand Nature Reserve.

After settling into the lodge, enjoy your first afternoon game drive accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers. With an unfenced boundary adjoining Kruger National Park, wildlife moves freely through this vast ecosystem, providing superb opportunities for memorable sightings.

Return to the lodge after your game drive for dinner and a relaxing evening in the African bush.

Days 2–3: Safari at Lion Sands Game Reserve

Spend the next two days exploring the Sabi Sand on morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve is home to the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo – as well as wild dog, cheetah and an impressive variety of other wildlife and birdlife.

Your safari days typically begin with an early wake-up call and tea or coffee before setting out on a morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast and time to relax before your afternoon safari.

Between game drives, enjoy the facilities and surroundings of River Lodge or, where available, take part in additional activities such as a guided bush walk.

Day 4: Lion Sands to Villa Santorini, Mozambique

After breakfast, transfer to Skukuza Airport for your onward flight to Vilanculos, Mozambique. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Villa Santorini, beautifully positioned above the coastline with panoramic views across the bay.
