BUCKET LIST ACTIVITIES: Balloon Safari in the Serengeti
Hot air balloon safaris over the vast Serengeti plains is the ultimate game viewing experience. Your safari gives you a bird’s eye view of the wildlife. After your sixty minute ride, you are met by the ground crew for the traditional “Champagne toast” followed by a magnificent breakfast, cooked and served on the Serengeti.

Day 1 – Arrive Nairobi
On arrival at Nairobi International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your Nairobi hotel for an overnight stay.

Days 2–3 – Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, travel to Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s best-known wildlife areas. Amboseli is particularly renowned for its elephants and, on clear days, spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Enjoy safari game drives during your stay, with opportunities to experience the park’s wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

Day 4 – Amboseli National Park – Namanga – Tanzania
After breakfast, travel towards the Kenya–Tanzania border at Namanga. After completing the required border formalities, continue your journey into Tanzania with your safari arrangements as detailed in your confirmed itinerary.

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a day of game viewing, with a picnic lunch during your safari.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife areas, with an extraordinary variety of animals living within its dramatic volcanic landscape. Look out for elephants, buffalo, lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest and many other species, with the possibility of seeing the endangered black rhino.
Return to your lodge after your safari.

Day 6 – Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and continue towards the Serengeti National Park.
Your journey takes you through spectacular northern Tanzania scenery, with the opportunity to visit Olduvai Gorge if included in your confirmed itinerary.
Continue into the Serengeti, enjoying wildlife viewing en route to your lodge.

Day 7 – Serengeti National Park
A photographic dream unfolds before your eyes as giraffes and elephants feast on tasty shrubbery, whilst impalas, gazelles and buffalos carefully tread through the plains so as to not become the latest meal for on-looking lions, cheetahs and hyenas.
Full day of safari game drives in the Serengeti with either packed or hot lunch depending on the movement of the animals. The Serengeti is world famous as the home of a million and a half wildebeest and zebra. There are countless other plains animals (more than 35 species) to see, as well as hippos, giraffes and black manned lions.

Day 8 – West Serengeti National Park
Continuing through the Serengeti this morning, we reach the lofty heights of Kirawira Tented Camp (70 KM/ travelling time depends on game viewing opportunities), where you will be treated to glorious views across the plains.
Dinner and Overnight: Kirawira Serena Luxury Camp.

Day 9 – Serengeti – Isebania Border – Masai Mara Kenya
Your guide will drive you from Serengeti to the Isebania border (300km – approximately 5hrs). Upon arrival at the Isebania Border crossing, you will proceed through Immigration and Customs formalities. Once there, you’ll meet with your Kenyan guide and continue into Kenya to the breath-taking Masai Mara (100km – approximately 3hrs). Travelling time depends on game viewing opportunities.
This full day commute includes game drives through the park.

Day 10 – Masai Mara
Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive, accompanied by an experience tracker-guide. The eco-diversity and sheer size of the Masai Mara Game Reserve houses a wide range of animal species. The most recognized are known worldwide as the Big 5, which include the Elephant, Buffalo, Rhinoceros, Leopard, and the King of the beasts, the Lion. Numerous other species of bird and wildlife inhabit this dynamic reserve including Hyenas, Gazelles, Impalas, Giraffes, Zebras, Vultures, Cranes, Eagles, Falcons, and Ostrich.
