SWEETWATERS Tented Camp lies in the heart of privately owned 22,000 acre Sweetwaters Game Reserve, enjoying  magnificent views across the game-studded plains to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Overlooking a floodlit waterhole, the Camp offers visitors an unforgettable opportunity to watch and photograph animals in their natural habitat.

Sweetwaters Tented Camp is a three hour scenic drive from Nairobi. Alternatively, Nanyuki airstrip is a one hour flight, and 30km from the Nanyuki airstrip.

Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, the camp features thirty-nine luxury tents, each with its own private veranda overlooking the water hole. Also within the house is the Kashoggi Bar and lounge, which centres on a blazing log fire. The Waterhole Bar, built in the style of a game-viewing hide, overlooks the waterhole and offers unrivalled wildlife-watching.

Visitors can enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the chimps by boat on the Ewaso Nyiro River which flows through the middle of the one-square-kilometre Sanctuary. The riverine forest and savannah grasslands that make up the Sanctury are home to 26 orphaned chimpanzees varying in age from 2 to 15 years.
