Location:

Salt Lick Safari Lodge is adjacent to Tsavo National Park, one of the world's largest game reserves, in the heart of Hilton International's private game sanctuary.  The lodge is 7 km. from Taita Hills Hilton Safari Lodge, a 4 3/4 hour drive from Nairobi, and two hours from Mombassa, and 1 hour from Voi Railway Station.

The Taita Hills Hilton Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of about 110 sq. kms. and rises to an altitude of 914 meters above sea level. It consists mainly of plains and woodlands, with typical river bank vegetation along the water courses. Flanked by the craggy Taita Hills, the park offers a safe haven for a wide variety of animals and birds in a compact area of natural beauty.

96 Rooms with private bath, shower, balcony & has panoramic views over the Tsavo National Park.   Champagne breakfast, barbecue lunch and "Out of Africa" dinners can be arranged on request.

Facilities include the Bura Restaurant, serving international and local cuisine. Special elevated construction for full viewing of animals at Salt Lick water holes. Private airstrip at Taita Hills Safari Lodge, a private 28,000 acre game park. Lodge car parking.

Activities:

Day and night game drives and balloon safaris around the game sanctuary to see the wide range of wild animals in their natural habitat.

More than 50 mammals are found in this small area and more than 300 bird species have been recorded within the boundaries. Animals survive and thrive where an adequate and suitable habitat is protected and preserved in order to ensure that the wildlife flourishes. Off-road driving is prohibited to ensure that animals are not unduly disturbed and harassed. An extensive network of roads gives good access to all parts of the Sanctuary, and every junction is identified with numbered posts.
