DESCRIPTION
Amboseli is best known for its unrivalled views of Kilimanjaro and
the local elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the
parks eco-system, featuring some of the largest in Africa.
HOW TO GET THERE
Amboseli airstrip is 45 minutes drive from the camp.
- Once daily scheduled Air Kenya flight departing Nairobi Wilson
at 07h30
- Twice daily scheduled Safarilink flights departing Nairobi
Wilson at 08h15 and 14h00
Game drives through the Amboseli
National Park, where Elephants can be seen in hundreds, Black Rhino,
Lion and Cheetah can also be spotted. There are always huge herds of
Zebra and Wildebeest on the plains. The scenery and views are
sensational. Walking safaris with a Masai guide, outside the Park, gives
you a chance to identify some of the birds; there are over 300 species
in this area.
On
the edge of Amboseli National Park - within Masai tribal
lands, Kenya. Amboseli is known for Mt. Kilimanjaro and
its elephant population - over 1,000 elephants in the Park
eco- system, which are some of the biggest elephants in
Africa. It is also home to herds of Zebra and Wildebeest
and their predators, as well as more than 300 species of
birds.

Ol Tukai Lodge is
situated in the heart of the Amboseli National Park, one of East
Africa's most fascinating wildlife and nature parks, a place of
rugged beauty, abundant water, lush grass and forest. The lodge
is set in an oasis amidst the surrounding savannah scrub,
offering views of one of the world's most awe-inspiring
sites–sunrise and sunset over the snowcapped dome of Africa's
highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.

AND EVENTS
Amboseli National Park is home
to numerous animals including large populations of elephant,
lion, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffe and gazelle. Within the
wide open spaces of Ol Tukai and the Park up to 400 varieties of
birds can be spotted and Ol Tukai has a specially designed bird
walk for the professional or the amateur bird watcher.
During the day you can take
morning and afternoon game drives in one of the lodge's 4x4
safari vehicles with a trained driver-guide. In between game
drives you can relax by the swimming pool on a sun-bed under the
shade of acacia trees or enjoy the panoramic views of the
marshlands and Kilimanjaro while you sip a drink at the open-air
elephant bar or read a book from the lodge's well stocked
library, or listen to a lecture on wildlife issues by speakers
from the Elephant research Station.
