Larsens Camp in Samburu National Park on a Safari in Kenya

Larsens Camp

Larsens Tented Camp is set in lush lawns on the bank of the Uaso Nyiro River,  Tranquillity and nature embrace you the minute you enter Larsen’s with the river being the perfect stage for an endless pageant of wildlife - elephants rolling and trumpeting in the shallows, timid impala nervously drinking, baboons and vervet monkeys swinging through the canopy of trees. An animal viewing platform in a tree lets you scan the vast Samburu plain. There are game drives, champagne breakfasts on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, sunset cocktails in the wild, bird walks and black tie dinners in the dining tent. There are 20 spacious en suite airy tents all raised on wooden platforms. The dining tent is open on three sides and faces the river. A first class dinner elegantly served by candlelight on tables set with silver and Larsen's china.

Mara Safari Club

Mara Safari Club on a Kenya Safari Holiday

Your base for the adventure is the Mara Safari Club, which lies in the north west of the Masai Mara, at the foot of the Aitong Hills. The camp is positioned on an ox-bow of the Mara River, so that all en-suite tents have a view of the hippo-filled river.  All tents have their own private viewing deck from where hippo and crocodile are regularly seen! Each room has four-poster beds with pillow-top mattresses and fine linens, 3-piece en-suite facilities with solar-heated hot, and cold running water, a refreshment centre, in-room safe and wireless telephone that allows you to set up dining on your deck or ensures no request is left unfulfilled.
