Met and assisted on arrival in Nairobi. Transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for overnight.

DAY 02

0800 hrs Road transfer to Serena Mountain Lodge (2.5hrs).

Enjoy an afternoon, evening and night of game viewing from the lodge precincts, your spectacular viewing perch for the night, where the game is attracted by the waterholes and salt licks around the lodge.

Located at 2,194 metres on the slopes of Mount Kenya, Serena Mountain Lodge is surrounded by a dense rainforest that comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds that make the African bush so special and exhilarating.

Considered the most spectacular forest waterhole in the Aberdare Ranges, the lodge’s waterhole presents a constant ballet of wildlife.

DAY 03 & DAY 04

0800 hrs after breakfast depart for Sweetwaters Private Game Reserve. Visit the Tented Charm 'n chimps at Kenya's Sweetwaters Tented Camp in the expansive Ol Pejeta ranch in Nanyuki.  Not only is it home to Kenya's only Chimpanzee Sanctuary but it has the highest wildlife to area ratio of any park or reserve in Kenya.

Sweetwaters Tented Camp lies in the heart of privately owned 22,000 acre Sweetwaters Game Reserve, enjoying magnificent views across the game-studded plains to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Overlooking a floodlit waterhole, the Camp offers visitors an unforgettable opportunity to watch and photograph animals in their natural habitat.

Activities include: Both day & night game drives, nature walks in the company of the resident naturalist, bird-watching, horse-riding and camel-trekking.

DAY 05

0900hrs After breakfast, drive to the Nanyuki Airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara Game reserve. Met & assisted on arrival Mara.

An afternoon game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

The Mara, home to the famous black-maned lion holds some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Kenya.  Whilst being the most popular park in East Africa the Mara still remains to be one of the most mystical places in the world.

DAY 06 / DAY 07

0630 hrs an early morning game drive returning for a late breakfast followed by time at your own leisure.

The most prolific concentrations of wildlife in Kenya can be seen in the Masai Mara.  Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives onto the great plains of the Mara.  Alternatively you may enjoy a balloon flight over the Mara.

 Afternoon game drive in the reserve before returning to your lodge for dinner.

DAY 08

Breakfast & Lunch at Mara Serena.  Day at leisure.

Transfer to the Mara airstrip for your flight to Nairobi departing at 1600hrs. 

Dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi. 

The Carnivore Restaurant, situated on the outskirts of the city overlooking the busy light aircraft airport and Nairobi National Park, is a venue with a difference.

Before your meal, enjoy the Carnivore’s famous “dawa”, a cocktail made up of fresh lime juice, honey and vodka with masses of ice, served with a bamboo cocktail stick to stir up the sugar!

The menu comprises a vast array of spit roasts including giraffe, zebra, ostrich, and crocodile together with the more conventional beef, chicken, lamb and pork. This selection of sizzling mouth-watering roasts are brought to your table on long Masai spears and expertly carved onto your plate by the flamboyant waiters. There is a vegetarian menu available, which includes fish dishes. Round off your meal from a choice of mouth-watering desserts or a liqueur from the wide selection on offer.
